OATFit!: "Shape Up with Shakena!"

Hey there Oaties! My name is Shakena and today I’m going to be sharing some of my fitness routine tips-&-tricks that help me stay in shape!

Fitness is a BIG part of my life, as well as my family’s life. But between the daily hustle of getting the kids ready for school, going to work early, and everything in between, fitness can sometimes fall to the bottom of my to-do list.

However, I know the importance of fitness and how positive its effects are in my own life! And as a fellow Oatie, I am super EXCITED to be apart of OatPop’s New Spring OATFit team—because I know how important it is to be physically fit & well, especially for succeeding in daily life!

So let’s get started!

My “SHAPE UP” Workout routine:

Full body workout

1. My workouts start with cardio I spend 15-20 minutes before each workout with either a bike ride or jumping rope.

2. Next, I start with 3 sets of 15 repetitions of each exercise

a. Squats with kettlebells (3x15)

b. Bicep curls (3x15)

c. Shoulder presses (3x15)

d. One arm swing with kettlebells (3x15)

3. I like to finish my workout with 10 minutes with a weighted hula hoop.
